We accommodate both! In our Cantonese stream, we generally teach Traditional characters alongside Jyutping to support colloquial heritage speech. In our Mandarin stream, we accommodate both Simplified characters (standard in Mainland China and Singapore) and Traditional characters (standard in Taiwan and Hong Kong), depending on your family's background and goals.

All tutoring lessons are held online via Zoom in secure digital classrooms. KABE Learning coordinators send a private, password-protected Zoom link directly to parents prior to each session, ensuring a safe and distraction-free learning space.

Yes, consistency is key to building trust and speaking confidence. Your child will be matched with a dedicated teacher who will lead their lessons every week. If your teacher is ever unwell or on vacation, we will coordinate a qualified substitute or reschedule the class in advance.

We know family schedules change. You can cancel or reschedule any lesson by notifying us at least 24 hours in advance with no penalty. Lessons cancelled within 24 hours are generally charged to protect our teachers’ schedules.

Our core classes are kept to a 25-minute limit to prevent screen fatigue. We do not assign mandatory, heavy homework. Instead, we offer optional, play-based worksheets, coloring pages, or short audio clips for kids to review naturally between lessons if they choose.

KABE Learning offers highly flexible slots globally. Lessons are available after-school on weekdays, as well as throughout the day on Saturdays and Sundays. Tutors coordinate schedules to accommodate family time zones across North America (Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific) and Europe.

Every tutor at KABE Learning is a native Cantonese or Mandarin speaker who has completed strict vetting checks, professional interviews, and background clearance. We select educators trained in child psychology and online language teaching, ensuring they bring patience, high energy, and warmth to every virtual classroom.

We don't just assign any tutor. During your initial consultation, we learn about your child's personality (shy vs. active), language levels, hobbies (like sports or drawing), and preferred dialect/accent. We then match them with the teacher whose personality and style best align with your child.

Your child needs a stable internet connection, a quiet learning corner, and a device equipped with a webcam and microphone. A laptop, desktop computer, or tablet (iPad) with the free Zoom application installed works perfectly.
